When you’ve been a victim of a toxic person, it’s very tempting to climb down to their level and throw down your own toxic waste into the situation.

No, you should not be toxic in your response to a toxic person. The goal should be to exit their reality, be neutral in your response, and protect yourself by stepping back from the situation they’ve tried to put you in.
